Executive Summary

This paper shall cover the whereabouts of handling and rectifying environmental damage in the holistic context. Our main focus would be to highlight the impact of environmental damages and to make readers understand and comprehend the essence of considering and taking effective measures for the safety of the environment. For the objective of this paper, we have taken up a case, which was the presence of foreign matter in packages of drugs and medicines, used for patient recovery and treatment. The entity which sees such issues and problem is called Total Parenteral Nutrition, abbreviated as TPN, who alongside with Food and Drug Administration (FDA), have paved way for considering such issues that come in the midst of delivery quality treatment to patients.

Introduction

For this paper, we shall be discussing, which has been posted in the light of understanding and comprehending the ins and outs of environmental hazards and damages, which are caused either by mistaken or done purposely to hamper the lives of others. Here we shall discuss the whereabouts of a case regarding contamination of Metronidazole and Ondansetron, which have been contaminated, due to the presence of foreign matter. Now the drug has been prescribed for intravenous use, yet the presence of foreign matter has made unusable. This is the reasons why medicines could not be transferred into the person's body with injections, which may otherwise kill the purpose of treatment and recovery (Brown, 2003, 38).

Keeping in consideration of the case that occur, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) has brought forth the issue for the purpose and objective of understanding and comprehending the actual source of contamination, which otherwise ruined the medicinal treatment, causing great problems for both the patients and the company delivering these medicines. Here, we shall pertain to highlight the key sources of contamination and defects that have occurred in the case.

To begin with, the most important concern of this kind of workability that people must define the quality of the product that is being delivered. What is quality? How do you define quality in healthcare? What is the quality of health care in the U.S. today? All these questions although do not have a defined and concrete explanation since parameters depend and vary according to situation as they may see fit. Quality is defined as 'non-inferiority or superiority of a particular commodity or unit of something.
