Past Work Experience
I worked as an Assistant teacher in India from September 20009 to September 2010. My responsibilities were to assist the junior staff in the language lab and E- Blocks, maintaining records of junior students, taking classes and assisting in managing accounts records. It remained a valuable work experience since it taught me a range of professional skills including interpersonal capabilities and planning.
Next, I worked in Sokhi & Associates, Ilford from June 2007 to October 2007. My core duties included the analysis of company accounts in preparing a balance sheet, and development of VAT returns and statutory accounts. I also carried out administrative duties including greeting clients, faxing, filing, meetings, and assigning documents to correct files.
Getting the Current Job
I acquired this job through my university placement officers. While following the job offers through email, I came across Kabeela hotel offer. It was for the post of receptionist. But my will of working in a hotel environment compelled me to apply. Considering it an exceptional learning opportunity, I applied to the job through placement officer. After a few weeks, I got the call from the front office manager as he wanted me to appear for the interview. The duration of the interview was 40 minutes. Keeping in view my sufficient knowledge of hospitality management and previous work experience, the HR department considered me suitable for the position of customer's attendant and facilitator.
