In the 20th century, people used to switch about a new job, when they became unhappy with their existing job. Today, in the 21st century, the recruitment companies are informing us to expand our network and build our contacts. In this, students can identify new opportunities and they don't need to start their job from scratch.

Since there are many job crisis these days, many students and individual need a living. Therefore, portfolio career have proved to be beneficial for the students and graduates. According to a recent survey more than I million people are working with two or more jobs in UK. These people have stated that they work with their own choice rather then necessity. Many home based jobs have also been introduced.60 percent have started their home business and more than quarter people of UK have been employed for the home based jobs. (Clinton, Totterdell & Wood, 2006, pp.188).

According to a recent research, many people have concluded that they are not satisfies with their existing job and they are insufficiently challenged despite of having various skills and abilities. Studies have also concluded that many employees are not satisfies and believe that it has become difficult to fulfill the need of one job. This dissatisfaction has gotten even worse due to the recession. With the evolution of portfolio career, people have developed their personal and professional brand. Many students and individuals also claim that they earn more with 2 3 jobs rather than one job.
