Why the United States should not ban guns?

Introduction

Guns in the possession of civilians serve the purpose of safety and protection. This protects the life and property of people and prevent the person from being threatened by anyone. There has been a hot debate in the past on the need for the US government to ban US guns. I personally believe that guns should not be banned in the US. The paper discusses the various reasons for which I hold the opinion against banning guns in the US.
