Tourism is a major social and economic phenomenon that has characterized the development of societies during the late twentieth and early twenty-first century. In the beginning of 21st century there were several changes that were difficult to adopt by the world. The two most crucial issues among them were the climatic change and increase of terrorist attacks. It has been observed that the climatic change and the increased terrorist attacks have affected the tourists and tourism industry. The events of terrorisms and natural disasters have made tourists in deep thoughts. However, some tourists are daring and fearless and continue their tourism, but majority of them have stop visiting the places where there is threat of climatic or any terrorist attack.
The tourism industry has started its work to overcome the issue, but it seems in vain, because the climatic change and increased tourists attacks has created dilemma (Brayley, Sheldon, 1990, p. 285-288). The tourism industry got affected when 202 people killed in the Bali Bomb blast in the tourism district 164 people were from different countries and 38 were Indonesians. The tourism sector occupies about 10% of the workforce in the world, not only direct employment but also indirect.
The problem has occurred that people have stopped visiting the places where climatic and terrorist issues are possible and the tourism industry is facing the decline. There are several beautiful and mind relaxing places, but people have stopped visiting these areas. Fear is always the factors that have stopped mankind to perform anything. There are several arguments and debates that influence and motivate the tourists to continue their tour in these areas; however, there are some de motivating factors that do not allow the tourists to take step.
