In the recent times, Tourism is the fastest developing industry in the world. In most of the countries, it is the major resource of their National Income. Tourism is a public oriented industry; therefore it also opens number of jobs and businesses which eventually helps out to regenerate local economies. However, tourism industry can also cause problems like other forms of industrial development, for instance; ecological degradation, economic dependence and loss of cultural heritage. The impacts of tourism have led many people to find out more learning about responsible holidays. It includes several kinds of sustainable tourism for example: cultural tourism, ecotourism and nature-based tourism. All activities of tourism like holidays, conferences, ecotourism, business travel and adventure travel should be called sustainable activities.

In a simple manner, Sustainable tourism respects both traveler and local public, and it protects the environment and cultural heritage. It is always in search to provide the people with and educational and exciting holiday that should advantage the local people of host country. Sustainable tourism development meets the ends of current tourist while safeguarding and producing opportunities for the upcoming years. Sustainable tourism is leading the management of all economic, social and aesthetic resources of the country, while balancing the cultural honor, biological diversity and ecological processes.

Sustainable tourism has certain objectives, which includes appreciating the problems and benefits arising from several kinds of tourism, particularly in social equity and the environment. It develops a significant awareness in the tourism, which can enhance the benefits of people and save our cultural and natural heritage. The theory of sustainability was empowered after the publication of "Our Common Future" by World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) report. It defines that sustainable development meets the current needs without damaging the future ability (WCED, 1987:43). The accomplishment of sustainable development requires an equal balance among environmental integrity, economic efficiency and social justice (Keyser 2009:24).

In today's estimation, tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. There are different kinds of tourism, which includes Recession tourism, Pro-poor tourism, Medical tourism, Creative tourism, Doom tourism, Educational tourism and Dark tourism. There are different factors that promote tourism, such as: it becomes the resource of growth in public income and wealth, it reduces working hours and increases leisure time, it advances the system of transportation and aviation, information technology and communications. Yes, we can put the argument that tourism is actually a sustainable activity, in which people spend their leisure time without damaging and disturbing the social and cultural tradition of the host country.

It is usually noticed that many people have the misconceptions regarding tourism. Many nations believe that if they increase the pace of tourism industry, they will ultimately spoil their environment and culture of the country land.
