Abstract

The role of quality cannot be avoided in any business as it allows companies to improve processes and operations. Companies in telecom industries have realized the significance of competition and quality. Ericsson intends to implements TL 900 quality program to bring improvement in its quality and services. This paper aims to discuss the implementation of program, its importance and benefits of the program.

Introduction

Quality is one of the most important aspects of any product or service in a business. The term 'quality' has a pragmatic interpretation that might refer to the superiority or inferiority of an object or anything. However, quality is the result of strenuous effort, work effectively to meet consumer desire (Besterfield, 2012). In addition, the organizations are undergoing transformational changes by developing its processes and business practices. The organizational development incorporates the quality management that is considered important for the productivity and growth of the organization (Geotsch & Davis, 2009). Quality management programs means the quality of the instrument, processes, and system is maintained and sustained by incorporating the total quality management tools that follows the standards. Ericsson is recognized as leader of telecommunication equipments throughout the world. The company has been facing some quality issues with its products and services and that's why the management of company has decided to initiate a quality program in order to incorporate Quality Management System TL 9000.
