Introduction

In this assignment, I require researching regarding an organization where I would like to work. I would start by creating a brief job description for a position within the organization that I would like to fill. I would then proceed to discuss the ways I would adopt for setting goals for the order of motivating my performance after I fill the position. Furthermore, I would analyze my own reactions to the stressful situations and also discuss the steps I could take to manage the stress associated with my new position. Imagining myself in the particular position, I would next discuss how I would address the nonverbal and cultural barriers to communication.

Job Description

Unilever USA is a massively successful business that provides product brands and services all through the globe. Currently, its products are widely sold all over the world, with billions of consumers using Unilever products daily. Several brands of Unilever fall into 4 major categories: Refreshments, Foods, Home Care Products, and Personal Care Products.

Personal Care Products, particularly the Multi-Cultural Hair Care Product Brands, is the division that I have worked in for some past thirty years. Having experienced major success in Sales, Education, Marketing, and Consulting via Trade Shows, Seminars, Road Shows, Presentations, and Internet Website Expert (Ask the Expert), moving to the next level is my goal. I would love to fill the position of Sales Manager, Domestic and Canadian Sales, OTC Channel.

The Sales Manager, Domestic and Canadian Sales, OTC Channel will contribute to the growth of sales and profits by effectively coordinating and managing the movement of Unilever's Multi-Cultural Hair Care Brands through OTC Distributors and Retailers to consumers and salon operators.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

The main responsibilities and duties of the sales manager include the generation of settled sales at desirable levels of contribution to the target customers and markets of the organization, by means of adopting a diligent and a professional approach.

Code of Conduct

The organization anticipates that the sales manager, along with other employees, while working, to interact with the higher management, co-workers, and customers by cooperative, supportive, and positive means.

Essential duties

Discuss with the higher management and figure out the current objectives and goals;

Plan approaches and methods pertinent to the corporate objectives and goals;

Scheme and implement a series of methodologies which support the agreed strategies of OTC channel;

Scheme and administer the implementation of the major campaigns;

Keep up an effective and efficient team of sales operations;

Administer the process of planning the inventory of completed products;

Administer and supervise the business budgets, counting in the trade allowances, financial forecasts, and account specific budgets;

Establish profitable business associations with every customer in the specified area and particularly in a superior level with major customers where the services and products of the organization are differentiated realistically;

Provide assistance in the preparation of budgets;

Accomplish contribution levels and budgeted sales on a regular basis specifically emphasizing on the product mix, selling added value, instead of volume;
