This research paper is focused on providing a set of recommendations that will better align the human resource practices of McKesson with its objectives. Therefore, the company's overview along with the various issues that are faced by health care industry are provided which are followed by the recommendations that will help the company to achieve this purpose. The thesis statement for this research paper will be:

McKesson was founded in 1833 and has its headquarters in San Francisco, America. The company has more than thirty seven thousand employees and is ranked as number one in the pharmaceutical distribution in Canada and United States. It is also ranked number one for hospital automation, generics pharmaceutical distribution, in services to payers and the medical management software. The company is also ranked fourteen by Fortune 500 and had the revenue of about $122.7 billion in 2012. More than 52 percent of the hospitals in United States use McKesson service and technology. Almost 33 percent of the pharmaceuticals that are used in North America are delivered by McKesson (www.mckesson.com).
