Introduction
For an organization to maintain its existence and have a smooth flow of operations, effective communication channels between the employees play a major role. It is the basis on which relationships between employees are established. It is an essential element in the decision making process of the organization as effective communication helps in dealing with the ambiguities and coming up with the best solutions. There are however many factors that influence the person's capability to communicate well with others. Communication is an important aspect of any organization as communication is the key on the basis of which various decisions are taken in the organization. It is the main foundation of information exchange. Good communication channels help in ensuring that all the operations within the work environment are carried out smoothly with less information loopholes. For this, several factors have to be considered. The following paper discusses a set of these factors and applies them to a workplace scenario. The paper shall begin by discussing the importance of public relations, impact of emotions, relationships, feelings and personalities on communication in the workplace, with the role of gender and age. Also, it shall explore the organization itself where the policies also affect smooth communication and ends with a few recommendations for coming up with improvement plans. Here, a government organization is taken which is made up of lawyers and support staff. The support staff is the focus of the paper which is made up of administrators.

Communication within organizations
Communication within the company or institution is inseparable from the organization, but developing a communication policy has always been considered inseparable from the development of organizational policy. However, since the late 70s, internal communication has emerged as a discipline of business management, first, the same level as human resource management, and then becoming part of the overall management strategy of the organization. We can say that communication within organizations has always existed; it is integral to the life of the same in that they relate to people and information flows. But the need for the company to manage that information and maintain awareness has brought special attention to enterprise communication channels (Solomon & Vangelisti, 2009, 326-345). Here, it can be said that internal communication proves to be a motivational factor and helps in achieving the outcomes for the company i.e. achieving the desired productivity and maintaining the stable work environment by avoiding work place conflicts.
The main function of Communication is "structurally support the business plan". In this sense, we can say that communication becomes a key factor in laying the foundation for a solid business structure to allow the achievement of the overall strategy of the company or institution.
