Introduction
The main purpose of this paper is to make an experiential Analysis and issues paper. This paper discusses the summary of a chosen health care setting and makes a report that how consumers or patients would experience this setting. This paper makes an analysis of the different kinds of organizational changes that could make improvements in the consumer's experience in setting. The chosen healthcare setting is the outpatient radiology by Texas Health Harris Methodist Ft Worth Outpatient Radiology Department.
Summary of Outpatient Radiology
The TH HMFW outpatient dept is located in Ft. Worth, Tx. It consists of 3 MRI scanners (1)1.5T, (2)3T, an 8 Slice CT scanner, and 2 X-ray rooms. There are still other outpatient radiology services offered throughout the Texas Health HMFW hospital that are not located in the outpatient dept. All outpatient radiology services are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), CT angiography, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, vascular ultrasound, digital mammography, osteoporosis screening and diagnostic x-rays.
Particularly for women, this health centre has facilities offering screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as breast MRI and both stereo tactic and MRI guided biopsy. The facility also offers a mobile service to the women in the community (Goldmacher 2010). According to the services provided by more than half a century, the healthcare company is present in different parts of the DFW metroplex, offering many of those service lines at the other facilities as well.
This outpatient radiology center specializing in providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging for outpatients, with its years of experience and is contracted with the areas largest, nost reputable radiologist groups in the nations with over 100 board-certified radiologists.
How consumers would experience this setting?
The three main dissatisfiers voiced by the patients at Texas Health Harris Methodist Ft Worth Outpatient Radiology centre is the patient way finding, registration and pricing. When dealing with a hospital based imaging centre on a large campus with multiple towers, entrances and parking garages, way finding can be a large challenge. This was a huge problem faced by the patients in order to find their way. As there were many towers, entrances and parking garages, therefore, it becomes difficult for the patient to roam around here and there and find the exact way.
Oftentimes patients are late to their appointments as they park in the wrong garage and then find out that they have to walk to the far north side of the campus. The second patient dissatisfier was the negative experience of long wait times at registration due to lengthy registration processes.
