Abstract

The research paper is based on identifying plagiarism and the consequences that are attached to it. Plagiarism is an act of using other's work or ideas without effectively acknowledging the original author, unintentionally or deliberately. For removing the plagiarism from the content one should learn the skills of paraphrasing and giving credit to the original writer by in text citation.

Introduction

An act in which the researcher or the researcher or the writer uses the researcher uses the researched information of other authors with no proper citation and any quotation mark is known as plagiarism. This is an illegal under the copyright act. To remove plagiarism one should use proper citations and give credit to the actual or original author. This is an effective way used for removing plagiarism from the content. Thing is this that most of the people do mistakes while paraphrasing other's content that they change the meaning of the content that is totally an immoral act. Changing some of the words or replacing synonyms does not help in removing plagiarism from the content, it requires

Plagiarism is an act in which the writer or the researcher uses the researched information of other author without any proper citation and quotation marks. It is an illegal act according to the copyright act. Proper citation helps in removing the level of plagiarism and in addressing someone else's work in a meaningful way. Changing few words does not remove plagiarism; it requires complete different approach that is known as paraphrasing. If someone uses someone else's work, thoughts without giving credit to the original author this act comes under plagiarism.

Plagiarism is an act that deprives the original author from getting advantage of his or her creation, which is an illegal act and can be taken in a similar way as theft. No one has the authority to use someone else's ideas without giving credit to the original owner through proper in text citations (Canuteson, 1983). The ideas of an individual should be considered as an intellectual property that needs to be kept with care. There are people who steal the work of others and prove themselves as they are the real owners. One can use the work of others only by paraphrasing the work of others and through proper in text citation. Paraphrasing is an act that helps an individual in using the ideas of others but without changing the meaning otherwise it will become plagiarized. Paraphrasing is a skill that helps in restating the meaning of a text or passage by using other related or similar words. It clarifies and explains the text that is a product of the original author (Skom, 1986).
