Executive summary

The main purpose of this paper is to conduct a learning and development event for the local UAE Company which is in need of the leadership capacity development training for a target group of 15 newly hired mid-level managers. The UAE hospital chosen in this paper for the purpose of conducting the training and evaluation session is Emirates Hospital. This training session will be very helpful for the newly hired mid-level managers in order to develop the leadership capacity in them. The training will be comprised of 4 days session, and the timings of the training will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the four days. The training will be comprised of the sessions from the qualified lecturers in order to provide them the necessary information about the different learning styles and the learning theories. The training will deliver the learner needs, adult learning theories and the numerous learning styles. The participation session with the individual, small and large group learning situations will also be conducted. The different case studies related to the human resource development issues will also be covered in this training session, and the different learning barriers will be discussed along with the necessary strategies to overcome these barriers.

Leadership is the key component for any manager. To be a manager, it is very necessary to have the sound and effective leadership capabilities. Thus, leadership is one of the most essential roles of the managers. A manager cannot be successful without having the effective strategies of leadership. Thus, Leadership program is the best way to gain knowledge and expertise about leadership theories and management. Through these programs, one can gain best knowledge about leadership theories. These programs help in boosting the capabilities of any person to become a leader. For any manager and supervisor, it is necessary that, he should possess the strong leadership skills. These leadership skills help the managers to manage people successfully. In this program, I learnt that when an organization faces troubled times and having the adaptive problems to overcome, it faces the challenge of making radical changes in many of the habits and organizational practices. This requires profound changes in the behavior of many people within the organization. An important feature of many adaptive problems is the difficulty of diagnosis, and another is the difficulty of finding solutions. Those cases do not come to understand what is happening or why they are the hardest (Yenilmez, 2007). The task of leadership in times of crisis management is to create within the organization a new culture, alternative values, alternative standards, alternative beliefs, and especially, new patterns of behavior. At that time of crisis, my company was facing with the difficulties of identifying the challenges they were facing.
