Background of the Research
Rapid changes in technology and job design, along with the increasing importance of learning- and knowledge-based organizations, make training and development an increasingly important topic in human resources development. To improve the internal efficiency and business performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) a number of training initiatives have been introduced in the United Kingdom over the last decade (Watkins, 1983; Curran and Stanworth, 1989). The provision of training to SMEs has been based upon the premise that, training can, and should, be a powerful agent of change, facilitating and enabling a company to grow, expand and develop its capabilities thus enhancing profitability” (Jennings and Banfield, 1993, p3). In this research we would analyze the effectiveness of training and development procedure at Pizza Hut U.K
