The Portrait of Dorian Gray

This work is carried out in the old continent, in England by the year 1890. Almost all the characters involved in the story are upper class or family of them. There are several editions of the book, so several versions and even movies, this is the telling of the story as was printed in the second edition (the first consisting of 20 chapters). The story is about a young socialite who had not been touched by the malice of the world, his innocence and youth inspired an artist to paint on canvas. One day Mr. Lord Henry Wotton visited his friend, the painter Basil Hallward and met this young man named Dorian Gray, to know a little more, he realized what he had in front of himself. That day Mr. Wotton was talking to Dorian Gray Basil while he painted, the talk was not very pleasant, in a nutshell was inciting the young to leave its shell and taste the world. The way the talked Mr. Wotton, they did think of a way ever had, they did see things I had ever seen (Lodge, 181-96).

As Mr. Wotton said it was like wood waiting to be molded.
