Introduction

Abraham Lincoln is one of the vibrant political personalities in the history of the United States and all around the world. This man is a bright example of an embodiment of the "American dream." Lincoln was able to go from an ordinary farmer's son to one of the most famous U.S. presidents. From childhood, he spent all his spare time to educate himself but he rarely attended school. Abraham did not only pass the exam, but also interested in the legal rights. He got a license and had a successful career as a lawyer. Success in the legal field earned him an impeccable reputation and skills, which later influenced the course of history. In life, he was an exemplary family man, who raised his wife as well as four sons.

The beginning of the legal profession was very difficult and laborious, having to walk by the state to get customers. With the advent of railways, Lincoln became a lawyer from Illinois Central Railroad, having successfully defended the company, which gave him a real financial stability. He became a recognized lawyer and also won a celebrated criminal process, where he defended his client's murder charge with the help of an almanac. The evidence showed that the crime was occurred at new moon night, so it was too dark that the witness of the crime could not have witnessed the crime clearly.
