Abstract

The paper discuss about the leader's role in meeting the needs of our diverse students. It is a fact that in the 21st century, the educators are experiencing challenges of working with the learners and the families who represent a diverse range of practices, beliefs and experiences. From the analyses and study done by Northouse one can say that as a leader, they need to offer students for the opportunities in experiencing diverse field of placements within a more supportive context, this shows their thinking and learning abilities towards tackling diverse learners and push them in building their own sense of learning capability.

A recent survey for middle and high school teachers, parents, students and business executives from the Fortune 1000 companies provided the insight into their perception for what is important for ensuring that all the students graduate ready for the college and the career. Individuals completing the survey responds towards a specific questions regarding the diverse learners including children with disabilities, learning English as a second language or living in poverty) as well as the queries for instructional approaches that aims at meeting the needs of the individual learners (Avolio & Gibbons, 1988).

The field "education" of developing countries presents a critical condition. Placed at the prospect of creating 80 million additional seats for school children, the issue presents itself to be a difficult task, especially since it is still necessary to improve the quality of education. Given the increasing demand for teachers and the problems HIV / AIDS, the challenge is ambitious. Huge efforts are to be made in developing countries around the world, to try to counter the problems and meet these challenges in the context of collaboration (Hofstede, 1991).

There is a doubt that the graduating all the students for the success and career ready for possessing the challenges unparalleled in the history of American public education, however this task actually appears even more colossal when one considers a wide diverse students population. Since the year 1989, the percentage of the white students enrolled through 12th grade has led to decrease from 69% to about 55%, where as the Hispanic children has doubles from 11% to 22%. Presently, one out of every five school age children speaks any other language other than English at home, and has an approximately one in nine has an identity disability necessitating the provision for special education service (Shapiro, 2010).
