Introduction

If only the world were as presented to us in fairytales since childhood; peaceful and calm, caring inhabitants and a place where everyone feels safe and secure, without any hatred and bloodshed, a place where everyone is working and leading their lives peacefully and with unity. However, as perfect, fascinating and ideal the scenario may sound to our ears, it is far from being real and authentic. We are born in a place where since childhood the concept of competition, excellence from others and race has been imparted in our minds. Born and brought up with such a mentality and concepts, a person is automatically prone to the factors of competition and even to jealousy. One does everything that is in his/her disposal to confine the other person from excelling him/her, and in such endeavors and attempts, often a person crosses the limits of ethical conduct. The most sorrowful and distressed aspect of the picture is that it is not only inhabitants of a certain society who are indulged in such petty races and competition, but, in fact, the ruling administrations of the superpowers of the world are also victim of such mindset and approach. The period of race between these super powers of the world where they would strive to excel from each other, and execute activities which may detriment the status and state of the other country has not only significantly impacted their own economies, but threatened the security and safety of other regions too.

Cold War

Cold war is a period or state of affairs between two countries that only lack an open declaration of war or military confrontation. Researchers define the cold war as a tension, strain and pressure on not only the political level but also at the level of military involvement, between two countries. The researchers typically describe and classify the Cold war as the condition of political resentment and aggression, as well as the military strain that two countries, or mainly the power bloc of the world experience. This cold war prone the countries to get them involved in the propaganda, financial sanctions, threats, warnings, subversion and other drastic step and measures against the other countries, which may lack only the open declaration of the military conflict. It is a condition of international level, in which a country deploys its political, technical, financial and social resources against the rival, to attain the national objectives.

History typically uses this term to describe the political tension that existed between the western region and the communist bloc of east, mainly involving America and Soviet Union. These tension, differences and struggle for power initiated as soon as the Second World War came to an end. According to numerous scholars the cold war was not a silent war between two countries, but it was a direct conflict between two ruling systems of the world, which were capitalism and communism.
