Introduction

The Broadway Café is a family inherited coffee shop established in Atlanta, Georgia.  The enterprise focuses in coffees, teas, a full service bakery, and homemade sandwiches, broths, and salads.  It was one time a hotspot for numerous years but for the past five years the enterprise has been declining.  Although Mr. Wallace had undertook a good enterprise in his time, it seems as though new and advances procedures required to be in location to hold the enterprise thriving.    

 

Competitive Advantage

A comparable benefit is merchandise or service that an organization's client's location a larger worth on than alike offerings from a competitor…These benefits are generally provisional because they are often replicated by a competitor which in turn conceives a perpetual cycle of enhancement schemes (Baltzan & Phillips, 2007). 

Business that are evolving schemes for improvements, should reconsider their choices before producing fast break conclusions (Baltzan & Phillips, 2007).  Techniques to address would be ecological scanning, first-movers benefit, and Michael Porter's Five Forces Model (Baltzan & Phillips, 2007). 

Currently the Broadway Café is the only coffee shop in the area.  Recently workers have learned rumors that a Starbucks designs to proceed in the area.  In alignment to advance enterprise and conceive a comparable benefit we first should study the affray through natural environment scanning (Baltzan & Phillips, 2007).  Environmental scanning is the acquisition and investigation of happenings and tendencies in the natural environment external to an association (Baltzan & Phillips).  After reconsidering the website of 2 competitors, Starbucks.com (2007) and Panera.com (2007), it seems as though these enterprises are technologically advanced.  Therefore the first step this Café desires to make is to establish computer to supply unquestionable record holding and shop information.  We require evolving a design for workers that conceives a natural environment of esteem ...
