Introduction

The very aim of the project is to understand how information system has benefited the Davidson County justice system and we also learn how well it has been implemented. The Davenport Legal Services Information System what it does is that it allows any member within the justice community to access the information they need whenever they need it.(Larence, E R 2008) It all started when the Davenport Legal Services Information System agency was established in order to develop the Davenport Legal Services Information System. Here we are going to discuss about the background, purpose of Information System, its structure and also we get a clear understanding on the Davenport Legal Services Information System. The different phases of the system are also documented and we also talk about the various technical applications, the cost and funding of sources, successful strategies and also what was learnt by the agencies in this project. The Information System was developed in order to produce, implement and maintain a comprehensive justice system. The justice system is an automated system which will be solely managed by the members of the justice community.

There are various agencies which participated in the Information System , such as Chancery Court, Criminal Court, Public Defender, Juvenile Court and so on. The Information System agency is more than responsible than developing and implementing a Information System . They are responsible for the network hardware, technical support, training services to name a few. The Information System helped revolutionize the justice system. It modernized the system in a way that everyone was using a computer to access data instead of using paper based systems. The British introduced a similar system known as the Davenport Legal Services System, it performed a various range of functions for the different justice departments.

The Information System provides a strong organizational structure which in turn provides strong leadership, accountability and it also defines the business needs and goals, provide technical assistance. The major benefaction out of the Information System is the collaborative decision making, this builds the relationship between the different agencies. The benefit to introduce Information System

Information System is one of the major projects of the Information System . The Information System is a modern, fully automated, enterprise level system. It is understood that automation has vastly improved the processing, reporting and information access in the county system. This has made the tracking of files very easy. It has also allowed produce all grand jury reports electronically, which in turn has allowed better quality control within the system.
