Introduction

In this paper, a fictional textile company (Chambray) would be examined. Furthermore, the Strategic Security Plan (SSP) of this company would be developed followed by a brief evaluation of the weaknesses and threats to the company's security.

Organization

Chambray is a USA based Textile Company, deals in dyeing and printing fabrics. Chambray has access to not only local market but international market too (WCT, 2009). This company was established in 2006, and in this short period, the company has flourished a lot and has reached the global market. Management, operations, marketing and productions are the central departments of the company. During the last three years company has expanded its factory area and productions, in order to meet overall (local and international) demand. After this expansion, now the company has 5000 employees. Out of these 5000 employees, 3500 workers are associated with production house (factory). Whereas, rests of the workers serve for operations, sells, management and marketing functions.

Mission

Our mission is to be recognized as the finest in the league by focusing mainly on the manufacture brilliance, human resource commitment and a dedication to comprehending our respected clients and associates.

Role

Our aim is to utilize the mist of our innovative thoughts, inspirational ideas and problem solving skills, to maintain a standard and recognition in the local and international markets.

Security Weaknesses and Threats

This paper aims to target the security weaknesses and threats to the above mentioned company. As mentioned earlier that the company has been on its developing phase for last three year, therefore there has been various organizational changes that have occurred to. Every company needs to revise its Strategic Security Plan frequently, and especially those companies which are in their development phase need to revise SSP even more frequently. The formulation of effective SSP, a comprehensive and brief evaluation of all the security weaknesses and threats, to any particular company, is a fundamental factor. Security threats and weaknesses usually strike when there exist some organizational flaws already, or there has been some major organizational changes (mainly because of the ongoing development).

SSP is defined as a strategic road map designed to explain the approaches of any organization for the execution of a wide range of strategies (Olsen, 2009). It describes the aims and objectives of the organization for the next year or may be more and the procedure of achieving the described aims and objectives. SSP is a major management tool that assists an organization in achieving its desired goal in an efficient manner (Olsen, 2009). In order to devise the SSP of Chambray, a proper evaluation of its weaknesses and threats need to be conducted. Therefore, this paper comprises potential threats and weaknesses of the company.
