Introduction

The reflective journal is a way in which a person thinks critically and analytically about the knowledge and experiences that it gained from the work or from any other work related experiences. This allows the person to understand that what different aspects of learning experiences are interconnected to one another. A reflective journal most importantly includes what a person has done, what the person has learnt throughout the experiences, and how the person found his/her days in the respective place. The reflective journal also involves defining that how the person has enjoyed while learning different experiences, what the person has learnt more effectively, what things can be more improved and can be more better learnt etc. The reflective journal is usually written by the students. The following section involves the reflective journal summary of mine.

The educational institution is a place where the students not only learn the course works, but the students also learn various beliefs, knowledge, values and practices. Throughout my learning experience in this nursing institution, I have gained knowledge of different areas and aspects of nursing through the course materials and through the teachings of the teachers. The gaining of knowledge from the course has also positively affected my beliefs, values and the practices. I have gained in depth knowledge of the nursing aspects and various approaches that are practically implemented by the nursing professionals in the health care organizations. The experiences of teachers shared by them have also assisted in analyzing the impact of implementation of various approaches in the practical nursing activities. The course work and the practical exercises taught and conducted by the teachers have helped me in developing better knowledge, values as well as beliefs regarding the nursing practices in the health care organizations. The teachings of nursing have assisted me to understand the impacts of care upon the health of the patients. The course syllabus is very effective in letting the students to know about the nursing related theoretical applications and the practical exercises, based on those theoretical applications, have assisted me in exploring more about the practical nursing scenarios and situations.

The course studies have also assisted me in my professional practices in the professional field. The nursing approaches that I have learned in my courses in order to deal effectively with the patients' health have helped me in understanding the actual care required scenarios and the practices that are carried out in real health care environment. Because of the effective studies that I have learnt in the nursing college, I can take better decisions regarding nursing practices for the betterment of the patients. The studies and the assistance of teachers have led me to have a better nursing job.
