Qualitative research analysis in nursing has proven to be essential for the development of knowledge in the field of nursing. Evidence based practice relates to research analysis and qualitative analysis leads to answering many questions, which are relative to human concerns and health related problems. (Ploeg J, 1999). Qualitative methods of research defined by Creswell, 2003 as; “A qualitative approach is one in which……. And the test of theories”
This research relates to inquiries made in a naturalistic way, i.e. the methods associated with this analysis are to deal with issues directly related to human concerns. The study is conducted in a relaxed environment and provides information that is sufficient to clarify various dimensions of the relative phenomenon being discussed. The investigations are based on the questions “why” and “how” a scenario occurs. The basis of Qualitative research is on a systematic and an accurate study which give rise to generalized explanations.

The possibility of accidents is high and recently she had been severely bruised by a fall from the stairs. The possibility of living alone is becoming a constant source of discomfort for the lady and her discussion with her community nurse, who comes to dress her venous leg ulcers and to help with her osteoporosis, for her admittance in a nursing home seems to be the solution to her problems. Her family, based on a daughter and a son, who visit her on weekends, suggest the same and are concerned for the outcomes of the situation. The question arises; “what issues are likely to be considered by independently living ...
