Introduction

The analysis has been made on the nitro RC car. The main performance of the car depends upon the chassis which is responsible to carry the load. In stress conditions the ability to balance the load without any structural loss shows the quality of the chassis. This is why the chassis of the nitro RC car was taken to conclude tensile test in order to determine the stress values of the chassis. The tensile test is conducted to determine the stress level of the chassis through which further adjustments can be observed that would increase the performance of the nitro RC car. Use of tensile test is the most appropriate method to find the maximum stress condition that the body can bear. Through tensile tests the performance of the car can be greatly emphasized along with an improvement in the material. Tensile test is also important to know what aspects are to be looked upon.

Nitro Remote Control Car Chassis (RC)

The chassis of any car is mainly focused to make sure that the maximum efficiency of the car is achieved. Depending on the strength of the chassis, mechanical aspects are being covered as long as the chassis can hold up the stress. Therefore, it is of great importance to have a high performing chassis. This is because all the parts of the car are attached to the chassis and all the load is based on it. At the same time it is also important to make sure that the car is as light as possible so that the power of the car is not compromised. In order to achieve a light weight chassis, aluminium alloy is used which is durable and light weight. In case of the nitro RC car aluminium of high tensile value is used for the chassis. This provides an overall strength without affecting the weight of the car. Even though that the aluminium alloy is a high tensile material it may still lose its durability over time. This is because of the stress that the chassis gets when the car is running on high speeds. Due to high tension the chassis may lose some nuts and important parts which will greatly affect the overall performance of the car. In order to make sure that this does not have over the long run a tension test is conducted in order to prevent any structural loss. The test of the chassis material is very essential as the chassis is the most significant aspect of the entire body because all the load and stress is being balanced by the chassis. Through tensile test the peak value of load and stress without any performance issue can be identified (RC tuning, 2012).

Based on the figure we see that almost every part of the car is attached to the chassis of the body. Therefore, the chassis is already bearing a large amount of load. On extreme conditions the stress over the chassis ...
