The process of change management is the series of phases that a project leader or a change management team practices to implement change management to a change or a project. According to “Prosci's research” (www.prosci.com), majority of the change management procedures hold the subsequent stages:

Practicing change (assessment, preparation and approach development);

Organizing change (change management execution and comprehensive planning);

Emphasizing the implementation of change (corrective action, data collecting, and acknowledgment)

A massive change at an organizational level is usually possible through influence from history and organizational structure and culture. A number of companies refuse to accept change so fruitfully, as through the moment in time they operate; the vessel has left the port. (Palmer, et.al, 2009)

Kodak resisted changing with the arrival of digital cameras. However, when they finally determined to acknowledge rising technologies, they had failed and left far behind the cut-throat competition. Another example is of Blockbuster, who ignored the recognition of streaming video, stayed there to their operations until the time they were enforced to shut down hundreds of their outlets to reimburse money owing to debtors. At the present time, they are struggling hard to seek their turn in the internet and movie market (Bacharach, 2013).
