This paper addresses the marketing requirements of a brand new 24 hours day care center in the form of a structured marketing plan. The day care center focuses on the core values of child care and development. The daycare center, namely “Kids' Inn” has to be located in Dallas, Texas (Barry, 1986, 55).
Discussion
Day care centers have earned popularity among parents who are professional earning members and are also concerned about their children's security, protection, and upbringing while being away for work. For these concerned parents, day care centers come as a blessing in disguise. This enables them to pursue work related tasks with the assurance that their kids and toddlers are safe while they remain far from homes to earn livelihoods. Keeping this in mind, we have planned to open up a 24 hours day care center in Dallas, Texas by the name “Kids' Inn”. It is a full time child care facility that caters to children between three to six years old. Kids' inn will be focusing on a family where both mother and father are earning professionals (Barnes, 2001, p. 94). Kids' Inn will feature different sort of activities for these kids ranging from playing indoors and outdoors, singing, dancing, aerobics, storytelling, language play, writing, dramatic play, and other activities aimed at enhancing the kids' creativity for example making them solve puzzles, guess riddles, scrabble, book talk and sharing of personal experiences (Barry, 1986, 55).
The management of Kids' Inn will ensure innovative learning systems for the kids and training facilities for the support staff members on daily basis. It will also focus on a low teacher/kid ratio so that they may get sufficient personal attention. All these custom designed services intend to ensure a superior quality service for the kids and their parents (Brody, 1982, 69).
Culture
The Kids' Inn is committed to ensuring that the services provided are effective and cost-value based. They follow the elements of excellence which is to ensure predictable staffing and services, establish impartial and unbiased policies and procedures to guarantee comprehensible and unprejudiced treatment, provide apt equipment, people, and services for adequate performance, meet the safety and comfort of patients and their families and ensure care that is timely, responsive and appropriate (Berkman, 2006, p. 465).
Leadership
Leadership at Kids' Inn calls on individuals who have integrity. Kids' Inn tends to follow a leadership style that is between laissez faire and dictatorial. The organization tries to function in a democratic function.
Human Resource Aspect
Kids' Inn considers their employees as their greatest resource. They show their appreciation in many ways including providing a wide range of comprehensive benefits. The organization is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace. Their pay scales are at a median range compared to the market. Their compensation is appropriate and their rewards are more than adequate.
