Summary

The critical evaluation of resiliency at dealing with problems and how they will come to influence my future in which I intend to act as a leader have been outlined. The justified steps needed to be taken in order to develop a strong resilient character, that would ensure my carrier growth at an accelerating pace as a future leader have been elaborated. Beginning with how I would be preparing for the leader within, the Patchwork Text goes on to elaborate my first job experience and then how I would make my character more resilient. The steps to success as a leader in future, in my profession have been identified with an attempt to explain how and what I have already incorporated in my practical life to realize the goal of becoming a leader in future.

Introduction

The patchwork text which undoubtedly is a modern course work assignment format is being attempted to offer a practical evaluation of my current abilities. It focuses on my characteristic of resiliency that would help me cope with the qualities that a leader needs to develop inside him. The spirit of patchwork lies in it being constituted of a variety of small parts which are incomplete in itself, but the overall unity of these parts are finalized retrospectively, when they are stitched together. These components though are planned in advance. A patchwork assignment is one which has been regularly accumulated during the teaching of a course, and is composed of a series of short pieces of writing which are designed here to offer an evaluation of my abilities as a leader in future. The focus is on my own resilience and where that makes me stand as a leader in future.

Preparing for the future leadership within

Since the day I opted to work as a journalist, I have been faced with two questions, one way or the other, but carrying the same theme, by friends, family members and relatives. What sort of a journalist you want to become? How will you become a successful journalist in future?

My answer has always been that I would achieve those tasks by following the ethics of journalism and by focusing more on exhibiting leadership qualities. These are short answers which are not adequate enough to answer those questions precisely. However, the detailed answer is not a short one that can be easily explained in a couple of sentences. It would surely require an audience that is patient and willing to hear an answer that may appear boring to them.

One of the easiest ways to become a leader is by making people approach you again and again for issues that could be minor or major. It is simply increasing your value and use to others. That way people would approach you again and again. To achieve this, I had long ago formulated a list of traits that I would like to incorporate in myself, in order to advance my leadership capabilities.
