Introduction

Human Resource Strategies are built to render the right direction for human resources in a company to achieve goals and objectives. There are many aspects of a business that are planned like the key performance indicators, long term plans of the company and overall strategic growth which all come under the maintenance of human resource strategies and successful goal achievements.

Further, study of strategies that are effective in maintaining a diverse workforce in the organization and the ways they could be improved. Later, we look at the impacts of for attaining and engaging diverse workforce for the organization. The main aims include suggesting the best ways to achieve objectives through human performance practices and finally the membership of human resources which relates to organization building (Irs.gov, 2002). My chosen organization for this paper is General Electric, and we see how Jack Welsh was transformed the culture of the organization and took it to success.

Discussion

General Electric has been in the spot light since the transformation of the organization through effective human resource strategies. Currently, the business operates in many countries and has capable workforce which makes it one of the leading companies in the world (Irs.gov, 2002). The company thrives in the midst of commercial interests where there are major acquisitions taking place and still is able to maintain a standardized culture in all its subsidy companies (Hrmreport.com, 2013).

This has largely occurred due to the fact that the company's leadership supports greatly the HR function of the company and aligns it with the business strategy. The activities and HR plans are aligned with the business strategy; thus, any move forward is taken after careful deliberation with the HR function of the company. We can examine the human resource strategies activity flow diagrams which help align the business and future plans of the organization.

Culture of GE

The culture of GE is to give everyone the chance to implement their responsibility, integrity, and creativeness, while at the same time, they grow with their careers, and so does the business. The environment of the organization is such that it promotes open communication, and that employees have the full privilege of remaining in an environment where they are safe and their health is not threatened. So as to make development the center of each GE worker in each GE business, in all aspects of the planet Immelt knew the association might need to return to its authority values.
