Summary of job description

Midwives have the responsibility of guiding a pregnant woman through the phase of labour and pregnancy. The nurse has to ensure that the pregnant woman is properly cared for and medicated and the delivered child is care for properly till it can self sustain.

Nurses in the mental health field also have responsibilities of dealing with patients suffering from mental illnesses.

Nurses in the field of child nursing have to ensure that the child's problem is understood and proper medication is given in the proper amount at the right time. Additionally, nurses in this profession have to communicate with the parents as well as the doctor and properly monitor the progress of the child.
