Myelodysplasia is a group of clonal disorders of the haemopoietic stem cells. This disease is characterized by the increase in the failure of the bone marrow. This failure occurs qualitative and quantitative abnormalities of the cells in the peripheral blood. If this disease is not treated it will lead to acute myeloid leukaemia; although a person dies before he reaches this stage.
