Summary

Lymphoma is a disease caused by malignant lymphocytes. These lymphocytes accumulate in lymph nodes and cause clinical features of lymphadenopathy. Lymphomas disease is divided into Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The presence of Reed-Sternberg cells in Hodgkin lymphoma is the basis of this division. Reed-Sternberg cells are neoplastic B cells. Most cells in the lymph node are reactive inflammatory cells. The common clinical appearance is with painless irregular lymphadenopathy. It most commonly occurs in the neck.
