Introduction

Motel 6 is one of the major chain of the budget motel which is expanded in 1000 different location of Canada and united states of America. Motel 6 also operated in the Studio 6 whui9ch is a chain of the extended stay hotels.

History

Motel 6 was founded in the Santa Barbara California in the 1962 by the two building contractors Paul Greene and tight William Becker. Initially the partners has decided to charge only $ 6 a room for a night which could cover the cost of the building land and the leases along with the junior supplies hence it is named as the Motel 6.Initially Motel 6 was offering with the free color televisions and television receiver which was found more expensive along with the functional interior decorator, (Belasco,1979) Since 1960 Motel 6 has changed the idea to become popular in the lodging industry. Motel 6 in the year 1965 opened its fifteenth property and its first location which was outside the location of California and in the 1970 s it has opened the largest location. In 1980 s Motel 6 has reached to the expansion of its location and it reaches from a single building to 300 locations. Which was providing facilities like the tentaqble colour televisions in the guiest rooms? It was charging only $ 25 per room per night nationwide. These rooms has a telephone along with the serving of free coffees towels soaps free wake up calls and distance calls charged on the major credit cards. Motel 6 was sold in 1985 and room rates were raised due to the inflation. In the year 1993 high rise location for the first time was constructed in the LAX in the Los Angeles in the California. The major difference between Motel 6 and other motels is that motel 6 is allowing the pets and owns and operates directly in the location.

In the year 2000 Motel 6 went globally and internationally by the operating its first location which was outside the United states of America in the Ontario Canada and the Burlington. And in the year 2002 Motel 6 has celebrated the 40 anniversary at the first location in Santa Barbara California.
