SAS is renowned for its unique practices of Human Resources, which includes Recruiting, Hiring, Staff development etc. The company has been popular for its unique practices and quality in United States, however it is not easy to implement the same practices in other country with same cultural values, assumptions and practices. Every country has its own culture and values, hence the company must adopt the practices of that particular country. This is based on the cultural differences found by Hofstede. The theory is based on the basis of cultural diversity that exist between nations and companies.

Business companies and public organizations, various levels of success achieved with its cultural diversity initiatives. Jacqueline A. And John M. Gilbert Ivancevich (2000) studied two similar sized companies that achieved varying degrees of success on the issue of cultural diversity. Used staff surveys, interviews with managers and company records to make the story detailing his efforts on behalf of diversity at the company over time. A multicultural organization designated company has made substantial progress in becoming more diverse (Daft, 2007). The evidence of its success included regional and local awards for diversity, and reflected in prominent business publications. The company designated as a diverse organization was less successful in the inclusion of diverse employees and wanted to do more to achieve. Five key factors distinguish what is fundamental cultural change in the multicultural organization, what is a diverse organization with a superficial commitment to diversity (Lussier, 2009).
