Gesell and Montessori have very alike maturational theories. Gesell idea is that young children have a time table of their own and they will evolve at that time schedule. He accepts as factual that progeny development is leveraged by two components natural environment and genetics, the maturational method is evolved in sequences. Children evolve at distinct rates and whereas the maturational method is in sequence young children of the identical age may not be at the identical level. Gesell states that parents should not hinder with the method the progeny is self regulated. ...
