Since the ancient era to this age of technology engineers has had great impact on our society. They have contributed in the development of technology to the advancement in all ways of life. Engineers have tremendous impact on the society and had developed their trust and confidence on the society. With the help of Engineers the engines were invented and with these engines we stepped into the world of quick commuting. These engineers enabled us to electricity and transportation and creating the tools, machines and equipments without which today's society can't imagine its life. Our lives are surrounded by the engineering solutions even our basic necessities of life are processed by engineering. The engineers enabled the mankind to step on the moon and discovered the ways to make our lifestyle more convenient and still operating to most convenient.

Discussion

Engineers are the professional man who performs experiments and conducts researches to find the solutions to help the society. Engineers are the inventors who invent the tools, equipments, machine and objects which we use in our everyday life. It is engineer who made the days of travel possible in hours and even minutes with the transportation technology. The discussion of praising the engineer is never ending because our society is completely dependent on the engineering solutions and technology. There are countless impacts of engineering which have positive impression on global society (Okamoto, 2005).

On the other hand engineering is also contributing to the negative aspects of the society. Although, engineers have created the automobiles, airplanes, house appliances and water purification systems these consume the fuel which results in two major negative impacts: firstly the consumption of fuels and oil will lead to depletion in the natural resources and secondly the combustion of fuel is hazardous to the environment. This is the reason for global warming which is hazardous to mankind. For instance the engineers have designed the dam to generate hydroelectric power which is the engineering solution. But it will adversely impact on the environment with emissions of carbon and will result in the global warming (Cox, 2000).
