Introduction

The Human Resource (HR) department follows a system that carry's many systems and procedures linked with the Information Technology (IT). All the processing is been carried out through the IT management with software's like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The HR management has all the administrative procedures and an increasingly imperative complex processes (Abella, O.V., 2006, pp. 1-6).

The most focused work that carries out in the HR management is dealing with all the remuneration processes and administrative control over the management systems. Every business and organization must have a HR department because all the terms and conditions are decided for every separate individual working in the organization. The function of HR usually carries out a tracking of their existing employee's data and includes their personal details such as their skills, salary, accomplishments and capabilities (SAO, 2013).

Discussion

The HR executives follow integrated Human Resource Management System (HRMS) software which has been designed by the IT professionals. The IT department designs, develops and maintains the software that is linked to a mainframe computer that operates large amount of data transactions in the organization (Skills CFA, 2013). The HR practitioners work more than the administrative activities that they work out in the current position. They are also involved in the productivity, profitability and economic growth of the organization. Besides all the management there is another function where HR focuses, that is the recruitment and selection section. There many functions of HR runs in various categories and keeps the consistency over the research and development to keep satisfying the customer and the employees (Abella, O.V., 2006, pp. 1-6).

HR also has to hover over the retentions of employees and keep the customer satisfied by providing them with qualitative services and achieve a higher Return on Investment (ROI). HR is the higher level of management who are using up the investment of the shareholders in the best possible way to earn a higher Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) (SAO, 2013).

There are many features and functions where HR focuses more over the performance of the organization. The research over increasing the performance of the organization is consistently being explored. The main functions that a HR department works on are clearly mentioned in (Diagram 1) (SAO, 2013).

The functions mentioned in the (Diagram 1) are just the normal functions which HR department usually carry out but there are many others in the bigger organizations where it is sometimes a need for the organization to have such functions for the employees and customers benefits. Out of all the functions the most important is the Hiring because once an employee is recruited then that individual has to add value to the organization with a positive return on investment of the company. The recruitment team has a very big risk before recruiting any individual to the company (Gatewood, D.R., 2010, pp. 305-332).
