HR professional

Human resource management (HRM) plays a crucial role in success of any organization. Human resource or human capital as it is widely called in today's world, is the most important assets of any organization. The growth and success of any organization depends upon its human resource. How a company manages it, human resource determines its future success. According to Armstrong and Michael (2008, p.2), “The fundamentals of management is deciding what need to be done and getting it done through people in the organization, the researchers are highlighting that people of an organization is the main resource that is needed by a manager to manage other resources in operating an organization, which indicates that a large proportion of management work is done through people of the organization”. In today's era, HR professional are now an integral part of a business success (Armstrong, 2004, pp. 15).

It is the prime responsibility of hr personnel to recruit the right person at the right position, as hiring inappropriate candidate for the job might result as poor performance and productivity. On the other hand, once the potential staff is hired there is a need to retain it, as the cost recruitment process involves is high as well as if an organization losses a potential employee, than business might have to suffer from loss. Retention of potential employees is necessary in the current environment as to not only keep the organisation on track for success but to beat the competitors. In this regard, motivation plays an important role. Different HR professionals adopt various methods to retain its employees, but most effective and practiced method is employee training, which not only provide the chances for employees to grow within the organization but also this process benefits employees as trained employees can boost the level of productivity. In other words, having efficient work force leads to a direct success to an organization and having an efficient work force is a prime responsibility of a HR professional. The Human Resource Manager's mission is to provide the administration with a framework for human resource development and staff with the required expertise to occupy the available organizational positions (Armstrong, 2008, pp. 530).

The Four Concentric circles of HR

1) Managing Self

An effective HR professional should be having the first basic essence of managing him/her self in the daily routine. The core responsibility of the HR professional is to manage people in and outside of the organization. If an HR professional is failing to manage him self, then it is a big question mark that how will he be managing other people around him/her.

2) Managing in groups

Not only the HR professional is concerned in managing himself only, but he has to act as a leader and has to lead and manage a group of people In and out side the organization.
