HIM Curriculum

Introduction

There have been many changes since the introduction of computer in the HIA curriculum. The main focus has been on increasing the reliance on the latest technology. This change was brought about by the realization of the need for expanding the HIM skills as health information technology. HIM professionals as compared to the earlier ones are no required to have additional theorical knowledge and the know how of the practical use of various IT systems and its applications. The skills that are now learnt by HIM professionals exceed those that can be normally associated with normal working experience.
