Case Introduction

The family described in the case is named as Ahmed family. In the case, it is described that the family is suffering from health and social issues and these issues and health related problems are leading to the adverse impact on the whole family. The family lives in the house which is not owned by them. The house is on rent, which is located in an adjoin area of the big city in England. The house is situated on the main road, and so there is a lot of traffic always on that road. There are four people who are the households in this family. Mr. Ahmed and Mrs. Ahmed is husband wife and they have a kid named Mohammed. Apart from this, Mr Rashid is also a part of this family and he is the most integral member of this family. The husband and wife are 49 and 42 years of age respectively. Other than this, the kid Mohammed is 14 years old, and his grandfather is 76 years of age. There are several diseases from which this whole family is suffering. The first disease is depression from which Mr Omar Ahmed is suffering because of his job loss. The kid Mohammad is suffering from asthma. He studies in the local secondary school. Mohammed's mother Mrs. Ahmed having a full name of Faridah Ahmed is suffering the disease of obesity and is currently working as a part time cleaner in three different places. The fourth family member is Mr. Rashid Ahmed who is the father of Mr. Omar, and he is suffering from the disease of type 2 diabetes.

Case Analysis

According to the description given in case it is very evident and clear that the health condition of the entire family is not good at all. This is because each and every household member is suffering from the disease and so due to these diseases there are also some social and society related problems that are taking place (Brauer, 2002, 1092-1098). The diseases of both the grandfather and the kid are almost next to impossible to be cured. This is because the cure of asthma and diabetes is not possible. That is why the hope for their recovery is also very acute. On the other hand, the diseases from which Mr. and Mrs. Ahmed are suffering do have a cure, and they the problems they are facing due to those diseases can also be overcome. Though these facts are correct, but they make the people suffering from continuous diseases more subjected to illness. These also lead the person towards the situation where it becomes difficult for him or her to handle the complexities of life (Rippe, 1998, 31-38).
