FedEx is a renowned organization which provides the services of logistics and empoyes over a hundred thousand people throughout the world. They specialize in services which includes business services, e-commerce and transportation. In order to progress, they managed to develop an information system which is known to be highly efficient (Federal Express Organizational Commitment Study, Pp. 84-121).

The process of delivery initiates when an employee of the organization visits the customer's house and receives the package that is to be delivered. This produc tor package is scanned, so that FedEx is able to recognize it. From here onwards, until the process ends and the package si delivered, FedEx is able to determine the location of the product at any time and at any place. This ensures reliability as well as careful handling of the product. When this proces ends, a transportation vehicle cisits the sorting centre and starts tranferring the packages.

It is considered as neccessaary that once the package has reaching the warehouse, where the sorting is done, it has to be classified. Some of these packages are sent to the United States, whereas others are sent ot either Asia, Europe or in any other country where FedEx provides it services. Initially the package is kept on a machine where its volume, weight, height as well as length is measured. This determines the price that has to be charged to the customer. This measurement is carried out in the left belt. After this, the package is required to go throught a scanner which determines the destination where the product has to be delievered. Then the package is kept on the right belt. In any case, if the machine is notable to scan the package, then the soting is done manually.

The 3rd step in the process including keeping all the packages in the correct container. This container is to be completely filled, with no room to spare as the designing itself is designed in the form that would fit perfectly in accordance with the shapae of the plane. However, before going to the plane, the container is weighed first and then sent.

The next step includes the containers to be loaded in to the crafts. These air crafts are directed by a control tower, wher the weather is checked by the employees. In addition to that, the information as well as the location is also checked properly by a FedEx employee in order to ensure the correct destination of the flight.

When the plane arrives, the packages need to be organized a second time. The process is the same as that of the first time but the division of boxes done in more precise way in the geographic localisations.

The last step includes delivering the package to the house as per the specification provided by the customer. The packages are delivered at the front door of the customer's house in order to get the signature of the recipient. At this point, the process finally ...
