Ethics in Research

Introduction

Ethical issues sometimes appear unexpectedly in the tasks for which the researcher is forced to make decisions that require ethical positioning as methodological practices or strategic measures about the research process. One of the essential characteristics of this research is that ethical issues are the lack of a mediating instrument between the researcher and reality, so that there is a close relationship between the research subject and the subject researcher (Buendia & Berrocal, 2001). One of the strategies used is participant observation as it relates to participants in performing work placements, which are long and personal and professional ties forcing them to balance their role as a researcher and as a person while close and sensitive to the reality. The authors indicated that they were more or less demanding in terms of informed consent, some IRB merely a verbal consent. Other instead require prior approval of the research protocol for the dear- researcher to begin fieldwork, many copies of the signed consent that human subjects involved in research, the text of the agreement has been submitted prior to the IRB.

On the surface, this is the teaching of ethics in the block of social and humanities. In particular, the teaching of ethics is separate subject and the teaching of social sciences and humanities complemented by ethical issues. Moreover, the purposes and principles of ethical education can be significantly different. Ethics in education can be understood in a different way as certain values that underlie the training program in general, and educational activities, which leads the institution. Ethics in education are the principles and rules of relations in the educational community in general, and in every single school in the teaching staff in the relationship between teachers and students. However, as indicated by trends in world literature in recent decades, as well as Internet content, the professional ethics of teachers is increasingly seen in the broader context of social and humanitarian mission of education, educational policy, the functioning of educational institutions and management (Sanudo, 2006).

Discussion and Analysis

Decentralization of ethical regulation is the main source of pro- problems of implementation of the common rule. The IRB have a margin considerable interpretation as evidenced the variability of their decisions on the same protocol and the duration of deliberation. The assessment of risk to subjects is well particularly variable. In the specific case of American school education, it is understood that the discussion about black culture cannot disregard the existence of racism and inequality between blacks and whites in our society (San Martin, 2007).

The school as a social institution responsible for the organization, transmission and socialization of knowledge and culture, reveals itself as one of the spaces in which the negative representations of blacks are widespread. It is up to the educator and the educator understand how different peoples throughout history, classified themselves and others, as certain classifications were prioritized in the context of racism and how this phenomenon affects the building of self-esteem and prevents the construction of ...
