Introduction

It is known that Plato devoted part of his philosophy to politics. Perceptions were aristocratic, similar to the origins and upbringing. The anti-democratic conceptions of course, attributed to the hostile attitude of the Athenian democracy against the philosophers, and especially towards the beloved teacher, Socrates. Apart from the separation of the soul did, and stratification, where for example the warriors and craftsmen, I would not have private property, but will share everything and there will be equality, so decided that the ideal state does not even need poets or painters or musicians, because in Plato, corrupt morals (Communism, 2008).

This paper examines two questions raised about the Plato's saying about the politics. One of these questions is about his saying that philosopher-king should govern states and the second one is about his republic considering that is it more favorable form of government as compare to the democracy?

Thesis Statement

Plato's statement regarding governing the state was right however; this will give less care and attention to the people, the Plato's republic is more favorable than democracy but to some people it cannot exist.

Discussion

Philosophers must be kings. The form of government is considered as a perfect city-state for the reason that this governs in favor of the betterment of the citizens. According to Plato education of general public from their childhood will educate them wherever their position is in their city-state. Being aware of one's position through this indoctrination and education will keep the citizens maintain as well as happy the city-state. It does not give a good impression to Aristotle belief, who believes that the masses must have a number of statements in what duties or jobs they have in the city-state and how they governed in their state. A reasonable mixture of oligarchy and democracy is what Mr. Aristotle has in his mind for the people of his ideal city-state (Boyle, 2007).

History has given us so far successful experiment democratic road to socialism: instead gave us negative examples to avoid errors and to study, which is not negligible. Certainly, one can 'counters in the name of physical realism (realism of the dictatorship of the proletariat or the realism of others, healthfully neoliberal thinking) how if that democratic socialism was not yet nowhere is because it is unattainable. Maybe: we no longer have the millennial faith, based on some iron law of inevitable democratic and socialist revolution.

Moving exact along to the good idea of Plato regarding the philosopher-king as well as the form of government city-states, Plato is at up first. His perfect state is that what several would name a utopia. His 3 classes of people are the tradesmen or farmers as bronze, the warriors as silver, and the guardians as gold. These correspond to the 3 components of the mind: the appetites, the spirit and the rational. Citizens are in general born into such class systems moreover each has particular rules regarding what they cannot and can do. For instance, guardians are unacceptable a romantic association or any possessions (Grube et ...
