Educational Evaluation

Abstract

This paper is based on an important area of education that is “Educational Evaluation”. Providing education is not a big deal for any institute but maintaining the right quality of education at all levels is not possible without educational evaluation programs. At various levels of educational institutes these programs are termed differently but the purpose remains same. This paper highlights an importance of education for a society by keeping it linked with the Educational Evaluation process.

Introduction

An evaluation process in which an educational process is characterized and assessed on its various aspects is known as Educational evaluation. The educational evaluation has two common purposes which are often found in conflict with one or another at various times. The educational institutions often require data related to educational processes to display their effectiveness to the stakeholders and other fund providing agencies. This evaluation helps in judging the performance of an institute in terms of the education's quality. This process is a professional activity that is continuously used by the well established educational institutes in order to maintain their reputation and educational quality. Educational evaluation can be evaluated at various levels like at Staff level, Program level and Student level. Educational evaluation should be conducted on all the levels of education starting from primary till doctorate level; this will help in maintaining the quality educational standards.

Discussion & Analysis

This emphasizes the socio-historical nature of education and the need to express the time in education in the life of a people. The methods, which are appropriate, are conditioned by the circumstances in which they are expressed, hence the harmfulness of the copy of theories, methods and procedures that are outside the culture, history and the concrete reality of a people.

Education is important because it teaches us how to behave, good manners, what makes us civilized. It teaches us how to run our lives. Education is the foundation of culture and civilization and plays an important role in the development of our values ??and virtues. Education cultivates us into mature individuals, people who are able to plan for our future and make the right decisions. Education gives us the insight to look at our lives and learn from everyone. The educational process developed at the school is a professional process, educational, nature based on the systematic and theoretical pedagogical conception widespread and intentionally aimed at preparing social subjects to life and first for the job. (Radestock, 2008)

An educational process is designed as a system that influences all the inhabitants of the society. Educational processes can be based on trainings, schooling, college, university etc. the main thing is this that all the educational processes should work smoothly and help in achieving the required results. Education should help an individual in becoming civilized and should open opportunities that were beyond his/her reach (Webb, et al., 2010).
