Allergic rhinitis is an irritation and swelling of the nasal passages, typically related with itching of the eyes and nose and watery nasal discharge. It is cause by exposure to allergens due to reaction.

IgE-mediated hypersensitivity is characterized by four cardinal symptoms:

• Runny nose

• Itching

• Congestion

• Sneezing
