The title of the article was comprehensible and concise in presenting to the reader about what the matter of the article was all about. Title is the most important aspect of a document as it gives first impression and makes the reader known to the following content. A good title grabs the attention of the reader and a title that lacks this capability can ruin the whole effort of formulating a good document. The title should tell the reader of the objectives and aims of the subsequent study and denote the people and the phenomenon under study. Coronary heart diseases are one of the growing concerns for people as well as the government therefore, the study of the problems to get health services for coronary heart diseases worth the investigation.
Next to the title a brief description of the authors of the article and their role has been presented. This gives an account of their qualifications and their contribution in this subject. The credibility of a document depends upon the investigator's qualifications, their capability to execute initial study and in what way they present the findings of their study. This instruction enforces to all types of studies, not just quantitative research.
Abstract
The abstract contained heading which made it understandably defined as an abstract.
The abstract was overt and succinct with regard to the article's objectives and aims. Moreover, the abstract makes it clear who participated in the initial study (14 patients with constant angina and nine primary care staff gave individual interviews. Additionally, five community groups and one group of general practitioners were also the part of this study).
Moreover it clarifies that the research design is a qualitative piece of work as it explains that semi- structured individual and group interviews were held to conduct this study. The results are briefly discussed in the abstract along with a brief statement of the conclusion.
Introduction
The introduction is unambiguous in describing how individuals with coronary heart disease are at greater risk of premature death particularly in South Yorkshire Coalfields Health Action Zone, than those in other parts of England and Wales. It has been presented that people in this zone have lesser access to health services including coronary heart disease and that the research would aim at finding out the barriers and lower referral rates and uptake of health services. The introductory section presented a clear rational for the research and it also presented a comprehensible rational for the design of this research.
Method
According to Greenhalgh (2006, 41- 42) when deciding if an article is worth reading or not, it should be judged, “on the design of the methods section” (Parahoo 2006, 89-90). Methodology section discussed the methods used to collect data from the participants used for the study. Ample sample size is very important. It is thought that bigger sizes of samples are relatively more credible in comparison to smaller samples. The range of the sample is dependent upon whether positive conclusions can be ...
