Aim and objectives of the study
The aim and objective for this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, which can be, based on the self-regulation presumption. The theory is known as the Attentional Focus and Symptoms Management Intervention (AFSMI). This theory defines the enhancement of objective and expressive well-being in women who have gone through operation of day surgery for breast cancer.
Study plan
The design was a random experimental block experiment. The subjects were haphazardly assigned to the investigation grouping (n=61) or the usual care (organize) grouping (n = 56). The subjects received AFSMI in the investigation grouping for the period of two telephonic sessions, one at 3-4 days and then at 10-11 days following a surgical procedure.
