Discussion

Many studies have been conducted which states that the institutions of the American society functions unfairly and have imposed restriction on millions of people on various resources and opportunities. This is quite evident if we examine the criminal justice system of the American society. According to a recent survey, one out of every 100 American is incarcerated and is sent to jail. In the past 30 years, there has been increase of 500 percent in incarceration in America, which means that around 2.2 million people are behind the bars.
