Introduction

The problem solving and decision making process is a critical key element in the management of any organization (Daft, 2012). People face situations from individual levels to corporate levels every day which require problem solving situations. The creative problem solving and decision making process involves various steps which needs t be considered in the procedure. It is used in many disciplines and perspectives. Individuals and management all use the process of decision making and problem solving throughout the business. They are required at all functions of management such as planning, leading, staffing, controlling, and organizing. Humans have been solving problems usually by hit and trial from the beginning of their existence. However, it was only possible after the scientists recognized and developed the experimental method of science to study the effective and reliable problem origination, prevention, solution, and challenge of solution (Thornton, 2005). Many logical and rational approaches to creative problem solutions exist these days due to advance techniques used to assess the problems and its alternatives. This includes the styles from a personal level to business corporate levels directed by many employees.

Hypothesis / Proposition

The proposition is stated as the creative problem-solving style can be parallel to the development of the technique or strategy of leadership. This would address the issues of managing and motivating employees with limited creative problem-solving skills and training for hire. The inverse proposes the rejection of the hypothesis. This can be supported by the discussion of the various problem solving and decision making styles in various processes. The other hypothetical scenario can be drawn from the correspondence of the problem-solving style with the decision making process. Both are interdependent and go hand-in-hand. Therefore, it can be stated hypothetically as,

H0: The creative problem-solving style can be parallel to the development of the technique or strategy of leadership.

H1: The inverse is applicable for the proposed statement.

The foremost and primary step in problem solving is the identification and recognition of the problem. Ice-berg principle states that the person mostly does not know the actual problem. Instead, he focuses on the tip of the problem, but the real problem lies beneath. The problem is analyzed after the definition to observe the depth of the difficulty. The various alternatives or possibilities to the solution are studied and then assessed to understand the best course of action to overcome the problem.
