Disposal of human corpses is a process and a practice of dealing with the deceased human beings, and their remains. Corpses present a public health risk, as well as, a sanitation risk. It is a natural phenomenon that when human beings die, their bodies start to decompose just like those of animals. This is the reason that the human corpses must be disposed off in a proper way. There are two parts of the disposition of the human bodies; the first is the disposal and disposition of the soft tissues, while the second one is the disposal of the skeleton. The soft tissues decompose rapidly, while the human skeleton remains intact for thousands of years owing to their chemical composition (www.greenburials.org). There are many methods that are practiced for the disposition of human bodies. This practice of disposal of human remains is mostly dominated by the concerns that are spiritual in nature. The fact that the human bodies are disposed off to show them respect and reverence. Many religious, as well as, legal rules and regulations govern the disposition and the disposal of the remains of the human bodies. Many jurisdictions and regulations govern the disposition of the human remains. It is entirely legal to bury a member of the family, however, the law restricts the burying of human bodies in specific areas. There are also laws that limit the burial to certain properties that are governed by licensed institutions.
