ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of Cannabinoids in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on uses and misuses of Cannabinoids and its scientific and medical advantages and disadvantages. The research also analyzes many aspects of the use of Cannabinoids and tries to gauge its effect in the field of medicine and science. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for the advantages or the positive uses and the disadvantages or the negative uses of Cannabinoids.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Cannabinoids, compounds derived from the marijuana plant (cannabis sativa) promise great potential for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases like multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer evil and anti-inflammatory and suppressive therapy of vomiting and nausea. Cannabinoids has a number of uses medically and scientifically. This study focuses on the uses and misuses of cannabinoids medically as well as scientifically.

Problem Statement

The data present in preclinical research and clinical trials support the idea that modulating the action of cannabinoids and endo-cannabinoids could be in future pharmacological strategies effective in the treatment of symptoms or progression of some neurological diseases.

Research Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the research is to analyses the uses and misuses of Cannabinoids in terms of medicine field and scientifically.

Research Question

The research aims to answer the following research questions:

What are the uses of Cannabinoids?

What are the misuses of Cannabinoids?

Reliability and Validity

The term bias is a historically unfriendly pejorative frequently directed at action research. As much as possible, the absence of bias constitutes conditions in which reliability and validity can increase. Most vulnerable to charges of bias are action research inquiries with a low saturation point (i.e., a small N), limited interrater reliability, and unclear data triangulation. Positivist studies make attempts to control external variables that may bias data; interpretivist studies contend that it is erroneous to assume that it is possible to do any research—particularly human science research— that is uncontaminated by personal and political sympathies and that bias can occur in the laboratory as well as in the classroom. While value-free inquiry may not exist in any research, the critical issue may not be one of credibility but, rather, one of recognizing divergent ways of answering questions ...
